Sampling beer on the bay by Lake Erie. Maybe it’s the beer or the sunshine or the boats bobbing and zipping past in the rippling lake- summer days like these breathe life into my spirit, reminding me that I’m alive.
A double post for today. We found toadlets on our hike. They were toadily adorable.
Crossing a road during a hike. A trace of man made amongst the trees, curving out of sight.
“The Road goes ever on and on/ Down from the door where it began./ Now far ahead the Road has gone,/ And I must follow, if I can,/ Pursuing it with eager feet,/ Until it joins some larger way/ Where many paths and errands meet./ And whither then? I cannot say”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1)
Another beautiful lunch break on another beautiful day.
Life is beautiful, lately. I’m capturing this feeling to have when life, as it always does, changes
I found a note folded under my windshield wipers today. Did someone hit my car? Am I being bombarded by political fliers?
I opened the note and… nope, that’s from my dad.
Enjoying an iced tea on this beautiful day with my invisible mom.
I worked a last minute wedding, but the cookies were adorable. As a younger wedding guest once said, “have love.”
A month come and gone. Starting a new job, preparing to move out on my own, drifting from the guy I’d been seeing and meeting someone new. A busy month that I’ve failed to document.
Time is moving fast. I want to continue exploring and traveling and truly living. I question if the routine I’m settling into will fulfill me.
For now, I will enjoy this book, this latte, and this lovely, last June evening.
After another long day of driving, I made it home with donuts in tow.
As my family sampled the different donuts, I was anxiously awaiting starting my new job the next morning.
After spending the day in Portland, I could have played it safe and began my three hour drive back to Connecticut before dark. But I chose to stayed for the sunset.
